The dynamic thickener with screw is a modern and economical solution for thickening sludge. The thickener is used in many plants and generally installed upstream of filter presses, belt presses, centrifuges and drying beds, to attain dehydration with suitable concentration of the suspended solids.
It can also be used to optimize sludge for the production of biogas, or as a filter for capturing coarse bodies.
The dynamic thickener is highly reliable and involves low start-up costs, permitting consistent dehydration of excess sludge up to 8% of the suspended solids, the thickening of mixed sludge up to 12% of suspended solids and reduction in volume.
